24/7 Watch Prayer (July 12, 2026 – July 18, 2026)
(I) Prayer Items for the Nation
(1). Offering Thanksgiving
“Your ways, O God, are holy. What god is as great as our God? You are the God who works wonders; You have made known Your strength among the peoples. With Your mighty arm You redeemed Your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph.”
— Psalm 77:13–15
Thank You, God! You are the God who performs wonders, and all Your works are holy and pure. You have displayed Your power among all the nations and peoples, and with Your mighty arm You have redeemed us. We offer You all our praise and thanksgiving, and we give all glory and honor to You.
(2) Consecration and Repentance
“Otherwise, you may say in your heart, ‘My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.’ But remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms His covenant, which He swore to your ancestors, as it is today. If you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely perish.”
— Deuteronomy 8:17–19
May the Lord forgive us for so often thinking that everything we have comes from our own gifts, abilities, and hard work. Forgive us for harboring the prideful belief that we can succeed by our own strength, leading us to strive for superiority in all things while losing hearts of humility, gratitude, and dependence on You. Forgive us for failing to give You the glory You alone deserve. Lord, forgive us for forgetting that You are our Lord, and forgive us for not following, serving, and worshiping You with wholehearted devotion.
2. For Kings and All Those in Authority
Micah 6:8 (NIV)
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
New Zealand’s general election will be held toward the end of this year. Currently, the support ratings among political parties are closely contested, with intense competition as different parties put forward various campaign policies in an effort to gain voters’ support.
May the Lord cover this year’s election with righteousness and truth. May voters not be deceived or manipulated by false ideologies or misinformation. As they consider the policies of each party and the candidates in their electorates, may the Lord grant every voter wisdom, discernment, and a right perspective, so that they may choose leaders who fear God, act justly, and love mercy.
(II) Prayer for the People of the Land
Proverbs 15:5, 22 (NIV)
A fool spurns a parent’s discipline, but whoever heeds correction shows prudence.
Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited New Zealand on 10 July, once again drawing public attention to the New Zealand–India Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and sparking much discussion regarding the potential impact of the agreement on immigration.
May the Lord grant wisdom and godly counsel to all leaders involved. Through the collective seeking of advice and the contributions of many perspectives, may God give government decision-makers listening ears and teachable hearts. As they consider economic benefits, national interests, and the concerns of the people, may they make decisions that are pleasing to God and aligned with His will.
(III) Prayer for the Church
1 Timothy 3:15 (NIV)
If I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.
1 Peter 5:2–3 (NIV)
Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.
The church is not only called to proclaim God’s Word, but also to be a community that practices spiritual fellowship, mutual encouragement, love, and support. May the Lord lead pastors, elders, and leaders to continually grow and be renewed in their spiritual lives, with wisdom and discernment to remain firmly rooted in the truth of Christ. May they shepherd by influencing lives through their own lives, working together with God to build up His church.
(IV) Prayer for Israel and the Nations
1. For Israel
Proverbs 8:14–16 (NIV)
I have counsel and sound judgment; I have insight, I have power. By me kings reign and rulers issue decrees that are just; by me princes govern, and nobles—all who rule on earth.
Israel is expected to hold its parliamentary election in October this year. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will seek re-election. He has served as prime minister for nearly 20 years, making him the longest-serving prime minister in Israel’s history. Currently, he is leading the nation through war, while a corruption case against him is also undergoing trial.
May the Lord rule over this election, raise up leaders who are after His own heart, and lead Israel to walk in God’s ways.
2. Prayer for Venezuela Following the Impact of Two Strong Earthquakes
Psalm 10:12, 17 (NIV)
Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless.
You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry.
The Venezuelan people have long struggled with economic and political hardship, and now this devastating earthquake has caused immense damage, claiming thousands of lives and shattering countless families and destroying homes.
May the Lord’s healing and comfort reach the people in the disaster area, and may international aid teams and humanitarian medical supplies arrive swiftly and without hindrance, so that those trapped may receive help as soon as possible. May the Lord have mercy on them, and may they turn to You in their distress, so that Your healing and reconstruction may soon reach the region.
