247 Watch Prayer (March 1, 2026 – March 7, 2026)

(I) Intercession for the Nation

1. Entering into God’s Destiny — Thanksgiving & Cleansing

(1) Offering Thanksgiving

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” (Psalm 107:1)
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

Thank God for the peaceful life He has given us, allowing us to live in peace, worship freely, and love one another. In this turbulent and unsettling world, help us not to take all of this for granted, but to always maintain a heart of reverence and gratitude: thank You for providing our daily bread, stable environment, and all kinds of grace and provision.

(2) Purification and Repentance
“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” (Psalm 51:10)
“Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” (James 4:8)

Forgive us, Lord, that in these last days, our hearts have grown cold, our spirits weary, and our love has gradually receded. We are easily attracted by the voices of the world, yet we neglect Your still, small, yet true call. We repent of our lack of vigilance; we confess our failure to pray, our neglect of Your Word, and our hesitant obedience. Holy Spirit, shine Your light on all our hidden sins, that we may no longer be self-righteous or conceal our sins, but genuinely turn back to You.

2. For Kings and All in Authority
“Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.” (Romans 13:1)

We pray for our head of state, legislators, and those in authority. Grant them wisdom from above and a reverent fear of You. May they not rely on human cleverness or follow the world’s selfish desires, but govern the people by doing justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly. In this generation of moral confusion and distorted truth, guard the hearts of those in power—may they not be deceived by power or bound by self-interest.

(II) For All People of This Land – Praying That People May Dwell Peacefully Here
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.” (Psalm 33:12)

We intercede on behalf of all residents living in New Zealand. Lord, protect the safety of this land’s people as they come and go. Keep them far from disaster, violence, and chaos, so that they may live quiet and godly lives. May all understand the calling and purpose for which You have placed us in this land. Help us to take root here, live faithfully, and become vessels that bless others, so that Your name may be exalted in New Zealand.

(III) Prayer for the Church
“That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” (John 17:21, NIV)
“Make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.” (Philippians 2:2)

In these last days, the enemy attacks the church with division, judgment, pride, and comparison, causing the Lord’s people to drift apart and lose the testimony of unity. Today we humbly repent before the Lord. Forgive us for the breaches caused by our self-centeredness, denominational biases, and personal stances. Lord, personally heal, cleanse, and reconnect Your body. Grant all the churches a shared heart—not to exalt ourselves, but to exalt Christ; not to argue over who is more correct, but to submit to the truth together. Help us to diligently maintain the unity of the Spirit and move forward with one heart in the great commission to spread the gospel.

(IV) For Israel and the Nations

1. For Israel
“He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire.” (Psalm 46:9)

Grant the leaders of Israel wisdom and humility that come from heaven. May they not act out of anger or be driven by fear, but make decisions that bring life and peace in Your light. May Your kingdom come in Israel, turning hearts back to You. We plead with You to use Your love to halt the cycle of hatred and to cease all warfare and bloodshed.

2. For the Conflict Between the US, Israel, and Iran
“They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.” (Isaiah 2:4)

The escalating conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran brings fear and instability to nations and people worldwide. Lord, we ask You to sovereignly reign over this conflict. May every decision be submitted to Your authority. We pray that You would prevent cycles of retaliation and further escalation. Halt military actions on all sides. Protect innocent civilians from being consumed by the flames of war. Instill in leaders a fear of God, so that they do not act out of pride, hatred, or fear, but instead choose peace, restraint and dialogue.
