24/7 Watch Prayer (September 6 – September 12, 2026)

(I) Intercession for the Nation

1. Entering God’s Destiny — Thanksgiving and Purification

(1) Giving Thanks

“Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” (Psalm 103:2–5)
Lord, thank You for choosing me, forgiving my transgressions, healing my wounds, and guiding me all the years of my life with love and grace. May You keep me from forgetting all Your grace, and may I move forward with a joyful heart into the destiny You have prepared for me.

(2) Self-Purification and Repentance
“Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.” (2 Timothy 2:21)
Lord, I confess before You the pride and jealousy in my thoughts, the complaints and criticism on my lips, and my unbelief and doubt. I ask that the precious blood of the Lord would wash me clean, creating in me a pure heart and renewing a steadfast spirit within me. Cleanse me to become a holy vessel of honor, fit for Your use.

2. For Kings and Those in Authority
“Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.” (Romans 13:1)
“Endow the king with your justice, O God, the royal son with your righteousness. May he judge your people in righteousness, your afflicted ones with justice.” (Psalm 72:1–2)
We commit our head of state and the ruling authorities of the government into the Lord’s hands: we ask that You would grant them hearts that fear You and also heavenly wisdom, that they may govern the nation with justice and fairness, caring for the vulnerable. We ask You to protect their bodies, minds, and families, keeping them far from bias and greed, so that the people may live godly and peaceful lives.

(II) For the People of This Land — Healing of Family Relationships
“Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.” (Colossians 3:18–21)
We ask that the Lord’s love would fill every family in New Zealand: may there be wisdom, understanding, and patience in communication between husbands and wives, and between generations. For families currently facing financial pressure, broken relationships, or emotional lows, we ask You to heal and mend the breaches, granting a peace that surpasses understanding, so that families may become the most secure harbor of refuge.

(III) Prayer for the Church
“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robes. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.” (Psalm 133:1–3)
We ask the Lord to grant unity, removing the barriers and prejudices between denominations. May we fix our eyes solely on the cross, having the mind of Christ, so that when we stand united, Your ordained blessing may descend upon our community, and people would receive salvation and experience the true transformation of life.

(IV) Prayer for Israel and the Nations
1. For Israel
“For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility… His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace.” (Ephesians 2:14–15)
We ask that the Lord’s love would overflow across this land of the Middle East, uprooting the hatred and bitterness deeply rooted for generations in the hearts of Jews, Arabs, and Palestinians, so that people would come to know that You alone are the true source of peace. We ask the Lord to watch over the local Christians and Messianic believers, that they would become vessels of peace and shining lampstands, proclaiming the Lord’s hope and mercy in this dark hour.

2. Landslide Disaster on the Nepal–China Border
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1)
“He comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” (2 Corinthians 1:4)
A massive ice and rock avalanche occurred in the Himalayan region along the Nepal–China border, triggering landslides. More than 900 people have died so far, with another 3,925 still missing.
We pray for those who, in this sudden disaster, have lost their homes, loved ones, and livelihoods: may the Lord comfort them and grant them peace. We pray for the governments of Nepal and China and for international relief agencies: may they have abundant resources, effective coordination, and selfless cooperation, so that food, clean water, medical supplies, and tents can quickly reach remote disaster areas, and may they have the wisdom for long-term rebuilding, helping disaster victims establish safe and stable homes once again.
