247 Watch Prayer (10.05.2026 – 16.05.2026)
(I) Intercession for the Nation
I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; before the “gods” I will sing your praise. (Psalm 138:1)
Lord! Thank You for giving me life, breath, and my daily bread. Thank You for guarding my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Even amidst challenges, I firmly believe that Your grace is sufficient for me. May my mouth always overflow with praise, and may my life be a witness to Your faithfulness, for Your love endures forever.
(2) Self-Purification and Repentance
Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Psalm 139:23-24)
Lord, please search my thoughts and intentions. Forgive any hidden faults, shortcomings in my speech, or coldness in my heart toward others. I am willing to lay down my self-will. May Your precious blood cleanse my life once again, removing every impurity that hinders my intimacy with You, so that I may live out a holy and heavenly likeness every day.
2. For Kings and Those in Authority
Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people. (Proverbs 14:34)
So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. (1 Kings 3:9)
Lord, lead the leaders of our nation and officials at all levels. Grant them heavenly wisdom, justice, and mercy. May they have a heart that fears God in their decision-making and the compassion of Christ in their law enforcement. We pray for upright and just judgment; Lord, block all selfish and greedy schemes, so that our society may be filled with harmony and justice.
(II) Prayer for the People of This Land
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. (Psalm 91:11)
Lord! We pray for the young people of New Zealand. Protect them from being influenced by secular culture that holds hostility or mockery toward faith. May the Gospel of Christ rise again among the youth generation. May New Zealand be not only a land of beautiful natural scenery but also a base for spiritual awakening and a place where the fire of missions is rekindled.
(III) Prayer for the Church
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. (John 13:35)
Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. (Isaiah 60:1)
Lord! You are the Head of the Church. May the Church live out a glorious testimony in this dark generation. May the Church be a vibrant lampstand, shining Your truth and love into the surrounding communities. May the Church become a house of prayer for all nations, attracting those who thirst to come and encounter You. Lord, equip the believers to live out the likeness of Christ in their workplaces, families, and communities, becoming the salt and light of this generation so that Christ may be glorified.
(IV) Prayer for Israel and the Nations
(1) For Israel
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure.” (Psalm 122:6)
And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me… (Zechariah 12:10)
O God, who keeps His covenant and shows mercy! We pray for the peace of Israel. Stretch out Your mighty hand to protect the people of that land from the threats of war and hatred. Lord, open the eyes of Your chosen people that they may recognize Jesus Christ as the promised Messiah. May peace (Shalom) descend upon Jerusalem and reach to the ends of the earth.
(2) For China
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. (Isaiah 11:9)
We pray for China. Lord, bless the people of this land; as their economy and society develop, may their souls also find true satisfaction. Protect the church in China, and grant pastors and believers a courageous heart to be victorious in all things. May the seeds of the Gospel spread far and wide across cities and villages, making this nation a blessing to all people.
